A Look back at 2020

Damn! I did not realize how much happened in 2020 until I looked up parody songs of Billy Joel’s We Didn’t Start the Fire. I watched a couple different versions on YouTube, and my jaw was on the floor at how many things I either did not know happen this year or forgot about. Was 2020 the year we were supposed to raid Area 51 or was that 2019?

Anyways, thinking back on 2020, yeah it really sucked, BUT….I realized it was a year full of firsts for me.

  • First time attending a wedding (an Indian wedding too!)
  • First time attempting virtual dates (I think this was a first for many of us)
  • First time I’ve attempted playing the stock market and crypto market
  • First time seeing a comedy show
  • First time in Arizona
  • First Masquerade party
  • First Time Playing Spin the Bottle (actually I can’t remember if that was 2020 NYE or was that past midnight? TBH it was all kind of a blur)

I’m sure there were some other firsts that I just cannot remember right now.

As terrible as 2020 has been, I think back on the year with blissful thoughts. I feel blessed to have had a better year than the year before and feel wishful for 2021 and the years ahead to always be better than the past.

I wish you all a wonderful 2021 and hope that you will have many blessings this year.
